What's Next for House of Culture?

In 2026 House of Culture will turn 35 years old. As we look towards the future we also reflect on the past three decades in business. We have been at 585 Columbus Avenue for two of those decades.

In 2025 we had a website that was busier than ever, a Seaport Pop Up, and of course hosted multiple events: 5 Boston Black Girl Meet Ups, 3 mixers, and 1 block party. As we prepare for the future, our growth, and continuing to serve Boston and beyond, our plans require more space to grow and possibly bring back some of the offers we had at our original Newbury Street location (we didn’t always exclusively sell women’s clothing). Our final day at 585 Columbus Avenue will be January 31, 2026.

While we locate and move into our next home we will be online at HOCBoston.com, which we have found a majority of our community already use. We plan to return very soon and will continue hosting our events.

From the digital lens nothing will change. In the coming weeks we will share details on our new offerings: local delivery, virtual styling, and concierge services. We will have one final sale at this location as a thank you and celebration of 20 years on Columbus.
